So long as we’re listening to my kids’ records, I’d like to present the two albums of A.A. Milne’s famous stories. On the records they’re read by actor Maurice Evans (who made an appearance as Dr. Zaius on this website not so long ago – click here).
My favorite thing about Maurice Evans’ performance of the stories from the hundred acre wood is his range. Each of the characters gets a special voice from Evans, and Pooh and Owl are pretty funny, but Evans’ Piglet is the funniest storybook record voice ever – it is highlighted in the second story here, “The Heffalump”.

These are only two of the stories on these records – the first and one from the middle. You’ll have to find copies of the albums if you’d like to hear other stories (including “Winnie the Pooh Goes Hunting” and – my favorite – “Eeyore Has A Birthday”).
