Good things really do happen in threes. You’ll have three no-cover chances to see the gritty folk-rock Very Small Animal over the next week, and the first is here at Hymie’s tomorrow afternoon. They’ll play a set here at 3pm and then after a hearty barbeque they’ll play at the Turf Club along with one of my favorite bands, the Ericksons, and one of my favorite songwriters, Caitlin Robertson. On Friday night Very Small Animal will be opening for the Brian Just Band at the 331 Club as part of a Hymie’s Record Roadshow event. There will be a selection of albums for sale (all 15% off) handpicked by members of the Brian Just Band at the 331 Club on Saturday, and all three events are free free free. What a time to be a middle-sized animal who loves traditional music! What a great city we live in!
