Hear Dave’s favorite Halloween songs at midnight on KFAI!

Man, I love a good Halloween-y song! At least one of your favorite artists recorded something just macabre enough to fit a good Halloween playlist. I think the two tracks in today’s post are essential to a good Halloween mix tape, along with more famous standards like “Monster Mash” and Screamin’ Jay Hawkin’s “I Put a Spell on You” (Screamin’ Jay’s “Orange Colored Sky” is a better fit, though).

And everybody loves “Thriller”! Michael Jackson loved classic monster movies and the “Thriller” video really captured a sincere appreciation of the genre. It’s also just about the coolest zombie dance ever!

You can hear some of my favorite Halloween songs on Halloween on KFAI’s Pop Shop at midnight (90.3 FM here in Minneapolis). Wooooooooooo…!

So funny that Christina Ricci is often in spooky-etherial movies like Adams Family, Cursed, Casper, Sleepy Hollow; for Halloween season
