(“Play Loud!” by Nato Coles and the Blue Diamond Band)

Saturday, February 18th Nato Coles and the Blue Diamond Band will introduce a new venture called Karaoke with the Blue Diamond Band.  You send them the song this month and they learn it and play it with you next month.  How much more awesome can this get?!  I think this is going to be the highlight of their February residency at Grumpy’s Bar!

Click here for the whole poop on Karaoke with the Blue Diamond Band.  My favorite part?  They say they’ll do anything by Hickey!  Anything!  How could you pick just one song by Hickey?

Hymie’s friends, Hickey fans…are you out there, somewhere?  Which song by Hickey – the best band of the 90s, possibly of any era – should Dave sing?  “Make Sure There Aren’t Any Squares at my Funeral”?  “Waiting for the Swelling to go Down”?  “Food Stamps and Drink Tickets”?

I’d kind of love to hear Dave sing “The Only Lesbian in Tulsa, OK”, but I am nostalgic for belting out “El Farlito” in Dave’s mom’s basement at age 16. I think “El Farlito” wins for awesomest song of the 90′s.

‘Everything I Know About Sex I Learned From Kiss’.
